Storm Chaser
Lightning from Antioch Hill
Tonight, I was a bit of a daredevil storm-chaser. As soon as the sky darkened and the lightning began to strike, I headed out for a photography adventure. I knew I didn’t want the exact same vantage point I had taken on my first attempt at lightning photography. So this time, I grabbed my gear and headed up to nearby Antioch Hill. While it is a bit more scenic, I’m sure it is a lot more dangerous in a lightning storm. However, I still had a shelter. After the storm picked up and began to make me nervous, I headed home, still beating the rain. Amazingly, I managed to get a shot of lightning on my last exposure even though I hadn’t realized it until I got in from storm and looked at my LCD!

The color of the sky changed dramatically in just a few minutes. When I began setting up, it was bright and sunny!
