Tuzigoot National Monument, Arizona 

Another great visit to combine with Montezuma National Monument and Montezuma Well, is the Tuzigoot National Monument. This monument is also covered by a National Park pass or has a cost of $10 per person.

First built around around A.D. 1000 by the Sinagua people, the pueblo consists of 110 rooms, including second and third story structures. According to http://www.arizonaruins.com/tuzigoot/tuzigoot.htm, the ruins were excavated from 1933-1934 by archaeologists aided in part by labor provided by the Federal Emergency Relief Agency’s Civil Works Administration (CWA), an organization created during the Great Depression to provide employment for out-of-work Americans.
