Imaginative Me

Amy Paige Tavakouli I am from Kentucky, I love the Red Sox, and I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. I served in Ethiopia, from 2014-2016. I taught 9th grade English in Deneba in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.

Throughout my service, I blogged as often as my limited internet access would allow. I wanted to share my experience during my 27 months living in Deneba, Ethiopia. Some of my activities included traveling around Ethiopia and abroad. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I was able to check several countries off of my list.

I am currently attending graduate school at Arizona State University, earning my Master’s of Education in Elementary and Special Education. So, my current adventures include hiking and traveling around Arizona and surrounding areas.

Read more about my Peace Corps experiences in my posts from Peace Corps. Please remember: The contents of this website are mine personally and do not reflect any position of the U.S. government or the Peace Corps.
