Imaginative Me

Amy Paige Tavakouli I am from Kentucky, I love the Red Sox, and I am a recently Returned Peace Corps Volunteer. I lived in Ethiopia, serving in the Peace Corps! It was over a year long process to join the Peace Corps and I flew to Ethiopia with a group of 70 volunteers, 45 of our group finished our two years of service.

If you would like to read about the application process, check out Africa, Here I Come. Throughout my service, I blogged as often as my limited internet access would allow. I wanted to share my experience during my 27 months living in Deneba, Ethiopia. Some of my many experiences also include my travels around Ethiopia and abroad. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, I was able to travel to many countries throughout my service. I taught 9th grade English in Deneba in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.

Read more about my experiences in my posts from My Ethiopian Odyssey. Please remember: The contents of this website are mine personally and do not reflect any position of the U.S. government or the Peace Corps. Photograph by Amy Paige Tavakouli.
