Mystic Fog Reveals Hubbard Glacier

Our Alaskan itinerary:

Our day at sea witnessing Hubbard Glacier was a cozy and relaxing one. We leisurely had our breakfast and sipped morning tea in one of the indoor viewing areas until we arrived. Once approaching the glacier, everyone flocked to outdoor viewing areas. The ship even had special outdoor drink stands to accommodate the outdoor viewing.

This tidewater glacier, off the coast of Yakutat, is 200 miles NorthWest of Juneau. Hubbard is gigantic as it sits more than six miles wide where it meets the ocean. The face can reach up to 400 feet tall.

Following an afternoon of viewing, we spent the rest of the day playing the card game version of Catan. We reached the next level of relaxation on this trip, away from work, the internet, and the rest of the world.
