“Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people.”
Leo Burnett
Whether it is in the shape of a cloud or the angle of a building, I look for the beauty in everything the world has to offer. While sanding an old door one golden day in September, I spotted these wild flowers. It became the perfect time to stop and “smell the roses” so to speak. Photography happens to be one of the ways I express myself. What is yours? I do believe that everyone is creative in their own way. You simply have to figure out your passion and pursue it. That is creativity. No one person has a monopoly on creativity.
The most amazing gift we have been given is our brain, making us an original. No duplicates, even though some may LOOK it. Everyday life offers us many opportunities to think creatively. My dad calls it, “thinking like an Egyptian.” Any time our family runs into a situation where clever problem solving is necessary, he uses that phrase. I love it and find myself quoting him regularly. It seems that ordinary problems can and do produce innovative solutions regularly. Do you ever marvel at your intelligent response to such a problem? You don’t have to be a musician, photographer, or writer. Just get those wheels turning and do what you love. A few ways I have observed my friends being super creative include decorating an apartment on a budget, learning to cook new dishes, or making popsicle stick crafts with children.
“He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would suffice.”
Albert Einstein
