Nashua, NH

Moving to Boston has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. It has enabled me to experience a wonderful new place, learn an entirely different way to exist, and given me the opportunity to meet incredible people. One of whom I wouldn’t trade for the world, Kelcy. We bonded instantly over the fact that we weren’t from Boston and even more over the fact that we share a “southern” accent. I think hers is thicker than mine, she might disagree.

At the time of this trip in January, I hadn’t been outside the city area since my trip home to Kentucky over Thanksgiving.
One of the downsides of living in the city without a car is that you can rarely get very far away from it!
When Kelcy invited me out to spend the weekend at her family’s home, I jumped at the chance.
We had a blast! I finally got to meet her amazing parents who are about as infatuated with food as I. I learned to make homemade pasta to go along with our amazing chicken parmesan. We worked off our delicious meals by going ice skating out on a community pond. If you brought your own blades, you could skate to your heart’s content.

I’m in love with Boston…but sometimes a break from the city is a welcomed change.

So many awesome structures in historic Nashua. This, I believe, was a condominium!

  1. We have vacationed in Nashua on our way to Vermont during the fall foliage. One of our ministers went up to Nashua to open a Christian church in that area in an old warehouse where the worshippers can walk in the sanctuary with their coffee cups in hand! ( in case your friend’s family would be interested).
