My friend, Nicole, and I are attempting to be more active during this cooler season in AZ. This weekend’s hike took us to Hieroglyphic Trail, off of Lost Gold Mine Trail. This area is located near Apache Junction, in the Superstition Wilderness. The hike was approximately 3 miles total, taking us up to a waterfall of sorts and then back down. When we reached the end, we were able to sit and enjoy the trickling water and view the hieroglyphics drawn into the sides of the rocks along the water. The sun was shining and the sky was blue. No complaints from these gals, who needed some fresh air before getting back to the grad school grind.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Love seeing such interesting hiking 🥾 experiences.
