Today, my friend Nicole and I traveled back in time to enjoy a bit of the Renaissance Era. The Arizona Renaissance Festival made for a day of sunshine and merriment. The festival is located along Superstition Freeway (US Hwy 60) East, past Gold Canyon Golf Resort. Driving out to the fun is scenic with the Superstition Mountains in the background. The celebration is massive and has something for all ages. Entertainment included artisans, jousting, a petting zoo, live music, live performers (of many kinds), games, and even rides. Food was also enjoyable and provided many fan favorites such as Feast of Fowl (Turkey Legs), delicious pastries, and of course mead.
More Info:
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the festival this year, they will be open three more weekends in March until the 31st, 2019. They are open each Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
